Les Independances - Photographer's Fair

The first edition of Les Independants exhibition organized in Enghien Les Bains from 11 to 14 May was welcomed with enthusiasm.
The original scenography and the high quality of the artistic choice by Dominique Charlet have confirmed the professionalism and the interest for this new event in the national landscape.

We let the visitors, more than 800, including 40% of Parisians, to choose their three favorite exhibitors, and the result of these votes won LILIROZE, the first place of the INDEPENDANCE AWARD awarded by Leica, followed closely by YO YO GONTHIER, CYNTHIA CAPPE and SANDRINE HERMAND GRISEL.

Some fifty prints have been sold!

For 80% of acquirers, it was their first purchase of photography. We can therefore conclude that thanks to this new event, the photography market is opening to a new audience.

All the partners: City of Enghien Les Bains, the Center Iris, Leica, Dupon, the Ambassade Lomographique of Paris, and the Union des retailers, were delighted with this first edition.

The portrait workshop hosted by the Iris and Leica Center was also a success, and the students were able to report to the artists present at the show, which will feature an exhibition.

The Ambassade Lomographique presented the results of the reports made by various associations of Enghien who were given cameras before the show, and they offered cameras to two listeners of idFM, a partner.

My point of vue?
“Les Independances? Four intense days! Four days of exchanging with other photographers and mainly with visitors, all conquered by the diversity of our work: this could be is a sum up of this first edition! A wonderful experience, from a human and artistic point of view, a great moment of exchanging and emotion!”
